Antec Soundscience HALO 6-LED Bias Lighting Experience
Aug 16, 2011 A recent hands on evaluation of Antec Soundscience HALO 6-LED Bias Lighting System was published by Christophor Rick at Gaimers Daily News. It is particularly valuable review done by the user for whom this system is specifically intended. The system is a string of six LEDs that are supposed to be attached to the back of the computer monitor to reduce the eyes strain when playing at night.
The author notes that HALO 6-LED bias lighting systems is a flexible, USB-powered strip of lights that adheres to the back of your monitor and is pretty much always on while plugged in. There is no "On-Off" switch and you have no control over lighting except manually unplugging it. The overall quality of the assembly was rather low and did not survive the unexpected summer heat wave of 80-85 degrees that stayed constant for about a week. That made the adhesive layer separate from the string of LEDs and the lights simply fell of the computer leaving sticky mess behind.
In conclusion the author seems quite disappointed with the product that he expected to be of a good quality coming form the respectable Antec brand.
