Estée Lauder Launches Lighting Campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness with Philips![]() In an effort for The Estée Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, the company and Philips have launched a global partnership. As a part of the project, renowned world landmarks will be lit pink with Philips' "innovative and environmentally-friendly LED technology" to raise awareness of millions.
This year's campaign will continue the process lasting a dozen years of "casting a bright light" of a 90% curable disease. Philips' role will be to use the power and versatility of LEDs in an energy efficient way when lighting the landmarks. Including those lit by Philips, about 200 landmarks worldwide will glow pink in October. This collaboration also connects to the campaign of sustainability held by The Estée Lauder Companies. The LEDs will make it possible for this project to be done in an energy efficient way, minimizing environmental impact.
