New Decor Line of LED Arrays Announced by Bridgelux
Oct 11, 2011
Bridgelux Inc., an innovator in LED lighting, today launched its Decor line of high color rendering index (CRI) LED arrays. The Decor LED line combines Bridgelux's own "industry-leading ES and award-winning RS array technology" for the best performance in retail, hospitality, museum, and high-end architectural lighting applications.
The CRI of 97 and 3-step MacAdams Elipse color control option together enable the Decor arrays to "truly render a full palette of colors...to create stunning and sophisticated lighting effects." The new arrays, with a range of 1200 to 2500 lumens, are also designed to produce light quality similar to that of halogen and incandescent light sources. R9 and R15 values of 98 are also included in the Decor LEDs, improving reds and coloring skin tones accurately to create clean and natural lighting.
"Decor arrays take us to the next level," said Giorgio Martini, vice president at Martini. As a product of the collaboration between Bridgelux and Martini Lighting R&D, the new LEDs are the mark of innovation. "We can design precision lighting effects and striking contrast ratios enhancing the presentation of retail merchandise," said Martini, an example of what the high quality light and super rendering of colors and textures may be used for. They are "elements that allow us to present our shops and restaurants in living color."
