Magnalight.com Releases New Economical LED Light Tower Alternative

Nov 3, 2011 Larson Electronics' has announced the addition of an economical LED alternative to halogen and metal halide light towers. Compared to the two traditional light tower types, the WALTP-2XWP400 LED light tower produces an equivalent amount of light with a competitive total area coverage. This LED light tower also costs less than its HID counterparts, and produces more cost savings through its reduced energy consumption and low bulb maintenance.

The LED tower model is designed to have two waterproof and vapor proof 40 watt LED light heads, which produce 2,924 lumens, while the height of the tower can be adjusted between 4 ft and up to 9 ft. Each head is composed of aluminum with a power coat finish for durability and resistance to corrosion. Polycarbonate lenses protect the LED lamp assemblies, creating impact resistance, while integral fans provide efficient cooling. Versatility is characteristic of this light tower, both from its portability from its collapsible legs and removable head bracket, and from its durability from the rugged construction. The great amount of light produced by this versatile light tower that can be "deployed in a very short amount of time," makes it ideal for first responders, emergency utility services, maintenance operations and outdoor events.
